Syriatel Directory

This service provide the subscribers with the ability of getting the information of specific place anytime and anywhere by downloading an application on the mobile, the subscriber can download the application by sending an empty message to the free short code 1010 and he will receive a link to download the application on his device.
Syriatel Directory contains over than 50,000 POI (Points Of Interest) continuously updated, Syriatel directory contains Information about café, Hotels, restaurants … and many other POI in addition to Syriatel POS’s info.

Service mechanism:
·        The subscribers should send an empty message to the free short code 1010.
·        The subscriber will receive SMS contain a link to download Syriatel directory application.
·        When using the application the subscriber should chose the governorate that he wants to search or browse the sites in it.
·        After choosing the governorate, the subscriber shall choose the category of search. e.g.: Restaurants – Hospitals – etc…
·        After applying the above steps ,the subscriber will have the following options:
-         Search: the subscriber can search for information related to any place within any area using the related keyword
-         Browse: the subscriber can browse all information related to an area using the following path Govern --> City --> Area
·        In case subscribers want to check the contact information for a certain area , he has to choose “Details”
·        The subscriber can directly call the phone number of the POI using the “Dial” command.
·        The subscriber can also browse the map of a certain area using the “Map” command.
·        Syriatel Directory will be available in both English and Arabic
·        Upon first executing of the application, an free SMS to short code 1010 should be sent to complete the registration process.

Service Fees:

·        Syriatel Directory is a free service , subscribers will only be charged for GPRS usage during browsing contacts information and during application installation. The GPRS service is calculated for the size of sent or received data as following:
0.5 SYP/20 KB for Postpaid subscribers
0.75 SYP/30 KB for Prepaid subscribers.

Note: We will activate the GPRS service and send the GPRS setting to your handset to be saved as free of charge , in case you did not have it before .
·        The SMS to the short code 1010 is free of charged .
